Just Say Yes

I believe the UK must keep its promises to the world’s poorest people. Throughout the next Parliament, I will do my part to help end extreme poverty and preventable disease in Africa, with most UK aid focused on countries that have the least, girls and women at the centre of development and all parts of government working together to build a better and safer world.

Green Party Candidate For Wokingham

I am a campaigner for ONE and I wanted to let you know about our latest campaign ‘Just Say Yes’.

ONE is an international campaigning and advocacy organisation of more than 6 million people taking action to end extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. Over 185 of our members are in your constituency.  We have just launched our election 2015 campaign, ’Just Say YES’.  We are asking all parliamentary candidates across the country to commit to keeping the UK’s promises to the world’s poorest by signing our pledge, that ask for the majority of UK aid to go to those who have the least, that women and girls are put at the heart of international development and that all parts of government work together to build a better and safer world.

Will you Just Say Yes and sign ONE’s pledge:

‘I believe the UK must keep its promises to the world’s poorest people. Throughout the next Parliament, I will do my part to help end extreme poverty and preventable disease in Africa, with most UK aid focused on countries that have the least, girls and women at the centre of development and all parts of government working together to build a better and safer world.’

2015 is an unprecedented year for international development and the UK. In an election year that will see world leaders meet in Germany in June for the G7 Summit, in Addis Ababa in July for the Financing for Development Summit, and in New York in September to agree the new United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the UK must continue to play a leading role in tackling extreme poverty.

Please do let me know if you will sign the pledge. Just Say Yes!

Many Thanks
