Berkshire fire authority cuts

Cuts to Berkshire fire and rescue service are due to be discussed at a meeting.

Royal Berkshire Fire Authority is due to discuss proposals to cut £1.48m from its service budget at the management committee meeting.

The Fire Brigades Union is urging the authority to produce a risk assessment before any cuts are made, saying lives will be put at risk.
