We need to #ENDviolence against children everywhere
From the UNICEF website:
"Violence against children is everywhere. But people turn a blind eye. It’s hidden behind closed doors. It’s invisible.
"All children have the right to live free from violence. Violence which harms their physical and mental growth. Violence which holds back every society.
"But violence against children is entirely preventable when people come together and say that it is not acceptable. When they make the invisible visible.

Mr Adrian Windisch
Dear Mr Windisch,
I am writing to you today as I was shocked to learn from Unicef UK that every 5 minutes a child dies as a result of violence. For too long, the world has tolerated this epidemic of physical, sexual and emotional violence that leaves millions of children unsafe in their homes, schools and communities.
As my local candidate, please raise the issue of violence against children with your party leader and call on them to publicly commit to champion and prioritise a global target to end violence against children.
In September, world leaders will agree new global goals that will guide the development of our planet for the next 15 years. It is vital that these goals include a robust target to end abuse, exploitation, trafficking and all forms of violence and torture against children, so that this becomes a priority for all countries.
Whoever wins the election in May will have an important role to play in keeping children safe. I hope that the Green Party will commit to supporting a new global target to end violence against children in the new Sustainable Development Goals.
Please champion this important issue and speak with your party leader. I look forward to hearing their response. Together, we can make sure every child grows up safe.
Best wishes,
