Greens Celebrate Result in Park Ward

The Green votes in Park Ward, unfortunately this wasn't a council election.

Greens Celebrate Result in Park Ward.

Rob White the Park Ward candidate in 2010 said: "Thanks to everyone who voted Green. This was a really good local result, placing us in a great position for the next local and general elections."

Reading Greens were delighted with the results; in the Westminster constituency of East Reading we finished in second place ahead of Labour and the Liberal Democrats.
(UPDATE: this refers to the Results from RBC wards, the majority of the consituency)

At a ward level the Greens finished in first place in Park Ward with a majority of 361 votes, and came second place in Thames, Mapledurham and Caversham.

Er, the Greens did not beat anyone in Reading East - as only the results of part of the seat are known.

As the unknown chunk includes Woodley - an area where the Greens are so weak that they fail to stand local election candidates - it's silly posturing to try and pretend they beat either Labour or the Lib Dems.

At the General Election in either Reading seat voting Green will just hand seats to the Tories - which is clearly what Adrian Windbag wants.

Let this be a lesson Anon 10.27, read before responding. "This was a really good local result, placing us in a great position for the next local and general elections."

Personal insults reveal your nature, learn to behave or you wont be taken seriously.

The piece said:-
"in the Westminster constituency of East Reading we finished in second place ahead of Labour and the Liberal Democrats."

That is an attempt to mislead, as it leaves out the Greens' weakest area in Reading East.

To come up with the above is as dodgy as the dodgiest bar chart. Adrian should rewrite and apologise.

Anon12.34, actually even the Tories agree with that statement. I suggest if you wish to continue stop doing it anonymously. Get a profile.

Thanks to the anonymous nasty accusations, I have changed the settings. You now need an account to comment, so no more anonymous.

I updated the post as some people seem to have become confused.

I do wish they would read more carefully before jumping to conclusions. A LD blogger has managed to conclude that we are celebrating winning the seat!
