Recycling Olympics

What a great idea for a new contest, councils and regions competing to have the highest recycling rates. I can't claim this as my idea, I learned about it at www.planetark.org/nrw/04NRWExecutiveReport.pdf and www.recycleolympics.com/PictureIndex.html

I was looking to compare recycling rates in different regions, but haven't yet found one site that lists them all. I've put together a few bits of information from a few different places below. However recycling isn't everything, its better to reduce waste and reuse materials, but recycling is something that councils seem to find relatively east to measure. There is a huge variety, some councils are up to 60% while Tower Hamlets is still below 10%.
