Bomb Factory Protestors Arrested AWE

Ten people have been charged and 11 cautioned following protests at the Burghfield atomic bomb factory.

Nine women aged between 28 and 80 and one man were bailed on willful obstruction charges to appear at Newbury Magistrates' Court on September 19.

The 11 people cautioned for the same offence included protesters from Finland and Belgium.

The charges arose from a blockade of the AWE bomb factory yesterday by members of peace groups Trident Ploughshares, Action AWE and CND.
