Shop Local

This week (29th July - 4th August) the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) is running its Keep Trade Local campaign to encourage people to use their local independent businesses. This is because they "are the heart of the local community" and "generate wealth, employment and opportunity." According to the FSB, each "£1 spent with a local supplier puts £1.76 to the local economy." Of course, keeping it local and forging community are among TFC's defining principals. During this week, the FSB will be rewarding you for shopping at small local businesses by offering you a chance to win £300 if you register at www.fsb.org.uk/ktl

Meanwhile great news from Readings True Food Coop.

"We have been shortlisted for the Reading Retail Awards. Winners will be announced on Saturday 7th September at The Hilton Hotel in Reading. Thank you to everyone who voted for True Food."
