"Bonfire of the Quangoes" a damp squib

Cameron promised a "Bonfire of the Quangoes", and delivered a damp squib. He has closed a few quangoes that were doing some good work, but even that cost us money.

Britain's highest-paid quango bosses are almost doubling their salaries with six-figure bonuses, special allowances and pension windfalls, an investigation has found.

“Some of these pay packets are absolutely shocking and equal in one year what a normal person earns in a lifetime. This can’t continue” said Tory James Wharton.

Its an old storey, the rich get richer, the poor poorer. Labour delivered much the same in their time in office. Time for something different, get the Greens in.
