Reading Eco Veggie Fayre is on Saturday December 19th at the Town Hall from 11am – 6pm.
The show aims to celebrate the eco friendly, veggie friendly and fair trade communities in Reading and the Thames Valley region, and all are invited to come and join the festivities, some interesting debates and talks are lined up.
See the website www.reading.ecoveggiefayre.co.uk which will be updated regularly over the next few weeks – highlights of the show include two screenings of The Age of Stupid (a film that deals with climate change), a talk from the highly respected Tony Wardle from Viva!, examining the impact of Livestock farming on the environment, an whole veggie cookery demos session with free samples of delicious veggie xmas food, and a proposed debate – should Reading adopt a ‘Meat Free Day’ once a week? Plus of course some fantastic food and free tasters, lots of excellent shopping opportunities and some fun and games for the kids as well as the adults including live bands and a party atmosphere!
