Peace walk day 4 Uxbridge to Ealing

Day 4 Friday 3rd August Uxbridge to Ealing
Today we walked through Southall, home to London's Punjabi community. I was interested to see how they would respond to us, and to Bernie, the American Gandhi (www.theamericangandhi.blogspot.com) . We were almost completely ignored, as they seemed to have far more important things to do than read our leaflet or engage in conversation with our group. We did enjoy dome fine Samosas though, and sat in a lovely quiet park to relax for lunch. Hanwell seemed more open to our ideas. Soon we were in leafy Ealing, where we could once again relax at the local friends meeting house with a lovely big garden. There were books to read, but most people chatted. A few went to see the Simpsons movie, but most felt they had done enough walking today.
