This post is ...Hi Miles, have you read what I said? This post is about limited resources and how this leads to war, not climate change. Where is anyone worrying about being too hot or producing too much food. Climate change will see an overall increase in temperature but will lead to chaos, big storms, melting ice and rising sea levels, more flooding.

Some people have the idea that greens are against all development, and so would have been against building canals or railways centuries ago. Our ancestors weren’t in the situation we are in today, this is something new. If you look at the peak oil graph on an earlier posting, you will see the rapid rise of use of oil in the 50s. Now we are so dependent on it that we are vulnerable, we are the only party preparing for the big changes to come.Adrian Windischhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16306364832746111534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9204966244105335828.post-3910031517333261062007-10-21T10:36:00.000+01:002007-10-21T10:36:00.000+01:00AdrianI am largely sympathetic to the green cause....Adrian
I am largely sympathetic to the green cause.
But I keep coming back to the thought that if you had told our ancestors as recently as 100 years ago that we would be worried about having too much food and being too hotn they would have thought you were bonkers.
Maybe we should keep things in perspective.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
